The first three chapters of the book of Genesis are a prophetic template for the rest of the Bible. This pattern revolves around Adonai bestowing someone with authority to rule on His behalf. This individual then fails in some manner, and as a result, Adonai will initiate some type of judgment. This pattern dominates the story lines of the Biblical narratives and repeats from Genesis to Revelation. In fact, the book of Revelation simply records the final punishment of this present age, which began in Genesis chapter one.
